Great post. Given the developments you outline here. How do you assess global oil demand compared to mainstream forecasts such as the IEA. Do you see them as being largely correct or do you think they're underestimating the impact on oil demand? Thanks
Thanks - Good question - I think the IEA just about gets it correct ie some 4-5 million barrels / day taken away by 2030 - that is to a certain extent just maths. What will be the impact over the next year or so ? Well maybe we should look more at the fossil industry in general - this is catastrophic for legacy fossil fuel car brands who have to relay on new sales not the legacy fleet that can keep the oil firms going for a bit - but either way, we are seeing here the folding up of the fossil fuels and fossil fuel devices happening quite quickly- good question
